Pimpa’s letter to Bluey

CIAO Bluey!
COME STAI? (How are you?) IO STO BENISSIMO (I am great!)🎉. I’m sending you a few happy snaps from my amazing trip to Noosa with my new buddy, Ella. We had the best time ever. You and Brisbanites are so lucky to have such an exquisite beach destination located just two and a half hours north of Brisbane! It’s like a quick hop to beachgoer’s heaven! There, we had an awersome time playing in the sand and splashing in the waves, and of course, we indulged in some delicious fish and chips! Yum!
I heard you recently went on an adventure to Mount Etna with Sofia, Greta, and Francesco! That’s so cool and guess what! We visited UNESCO-recognized places the same weekend! As you know, just like Mount Etna, Noosa is also a UNESCO Biosphere, which means it’s a special place where people and nature live happily together. While I was there, I learned that about 35% of the Noosa Shire is protected as national park or conservation area. That would explain why it’s got some of the world’s best beaches, breathtaking mountain views, and serene lakes and waterways! Anyways, what a magical experience we’ve both had! 🌍✨
We’re now gearing up for Term 4 at school. I bet you’re all set for a new school year in Italy! I’ve been telling my friends at St Columba’s that kids in Italy finish school around 1:30 pm. They think that’s super cool, but they’re not too thrilled about the idea of going to school on a Saturday! How are you adjusting to this big change?
Ella’s classmates are bursting with curiosity about school life in Italy and can’t wait to hear back from you! They’ve got a couple of questions:
- What do you and your Italian friends eat at school? Is it anything like what Aussie kids have packed in their lunchboxes?
- What are your new favorite fun activities during break times? Do kids play tiggy in Italy too?
Everyone’s eager to hear from you, Bluey! They miss you but are loving learning more about Italy and Italian culture as they follow your adventures!
